Children’s Scholarship Fund 2010
Must be postmarked for receipt by the Foundation National Office by March 1, 2010

The Children’s Scholarship Fund was developed to provide financial assistance for higher education to children who lost a parent in an air medical accident. In 2010, the Fund will award 1 scholarship in the amount of $2,500 to a deserving student entering or enrolled in a college, university or vocational-technical school.

Congratulations to pre-med student, Joshua Codding, 19, of  Santa Rosa, California!  Joshua has been named the first recipient of the MedEvac Foundation International Children’s Scholarship Award.  Joshua was honored with the $2,500 award during an opening session at the Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC) in San Jose on Oct. 27, 2009.

A sophomore at the University of California at Santa Barbara, Joshua plans to attend medical school. His mother, flight nurse Diane Codding, was killed in an air-medical accident in Santa Rosa, Calif., in December 2003.

The MedEvac Foundation International awards an annual scholarship for an individual to attend the Medical Transport Leadership Institute (MTLI). The goal of this MedEvac Foundation program is to assist in professional development of leaders in the medical transport community in an effort to improve safety, patient care, education of providers, and advocacy.
